Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of todrecipes.com (the "Site"), operated under the name Tod Recipes ("we", "us", "our"). The Site offers dinners, desserts, sides and drinks for home cooks, along with themed recipe collections and author profiles.
Please read these Terms before using the Site. Questions about how we handle personal data are answered in our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting or using Tod Recipes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to everyone who browses the Site, reads recipes, submits a rating or comment, or sends us a message.
2. Use of Content and Copyright
The text, recipes, recipe photos, graphics, layout and other material on Tod Recipes are protected by copyright and belong to us or our licensors. Your use of them is subject to the following:
- Personal use is welcome. You may read, print and save recipes for your own personal, non-commercial use in your own kitchen.
- Sharing with a link is welcome. You may share a recipe by linking to its page, or by quoting a short excerpt together with a clear link back to the original recipe on todrecipes.com.
- Please do not republish. Copying full recipes, full articles or photos onto another website, app, newsletter, video or social profile, or using them in any commercial context (including selling, advertising or including them in paid products), requires our prior written permission.
- No scraping or bulk copying. Automated collection of Site content, or any use that places an unreasonable load on the Site, is not permitted.
The name Tod Recipes and our logo may not be used in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with another product or service.
3. User Submissions
The Site lets you submit information in two ways: a recipe ratings and comments form, and a contact form.
Ratings and comments
When you post a rating or comment, you provide a name and the text of your comment. This is content you choose to share, and it may be displayed publicly on the recipe page. Please do not include personal details you would not want others to read, such as your email address, phone number or home address.
By submitting a comment, you confirm that you wrote it or have the right to share it, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display it on the Site. You remain responsible for what you write.
We may edit, decline to publish or remove any comment, for example if it is abusive, hateful, misleading, spam, promotional, unlawful, or off-topic, or if it infringes someone else's rights. Comments express the views of the people who write them, not ours.
Contact messages
Messages sent through the contact form (name, email address and message) are used only to reply to you. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
4. Recipe and Nutrition Disclaimer
Important: Recipes on Tod Recipes are shared for general cooking information. You prepare and eat any dish at your own responsibility and should use your own judgement at every step.
Results will vary
Recipes are developed and edited for clear steps, realistic times and temperatures, ingredient substitutions and food-safety notes. Even so, your results can differ from the description or photo. Ovens run hot or cool, stovetops and slow cookers vary, and ingredient brands, sizes and freshness differ from kitchen to kitchen. Treat times as a guide and adjust to what you see, smell and taste.
Food safety and doneness
You are responsible for handling and cooking food safely. Wash your hands and surfaces, keep raw meat, poultry and seafood separate from ready-to-eat foods, refrigerate leftovers promptly, and discard food that looks or smells spoiled. Do not rely on time or color alone to judge doneness: use a food thermometer.
As a general reference, USDA guidance calls for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for poultry, 160°F (71°C) for ground beef and other ground meats, and 145°F (63°C) for fish, with a rest period for whole cuts of beef and lamb. Check current guidance from your local food-safety authority, especially when cooking for children, older adults, pregnant women or anyone with a weakened immune system.
Allergens and dietary needs
Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as nuts, peanuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, fish and shellfish. Always read the labels of every ingredient you use, because formulations change and cross-contact can occur. Labels such as "gluten-free", "dairy-free" or "vegetarian" are intended as a guide only.
If you or someone you cook for has an allergy, intolerance or medical dietary restriction, verify each ingredient yourself and consult a qualified professional where needed.
Nutrition information
Where nutrition values appear, they are estimates. Actual values depend on the specific brands, ingredient sizes, substitutions, portion sizes and preparation methods you use. They are not a guarantee of accuracy and should not be used for medical purposes.
Not medical or dietary advice
Nothing on the Site is medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and nothing replaces advice from a physician, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional. Recipes for drinks or teas described with wellness terms are shared as food and drink ideas only, not as treatments or cures. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or are managing your weight, speak with a professional before changing your diet.
5. Third-Party Links, Services and Ads
The Site may link to other websites, including our Pinterest profile, and may display advertising or use services from outside providers, such as Cloudflare for content delivery and security. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave our Site or interact with their services.
Mentions of brands, products or ingredients in recipes are provided for convenience and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless we state so clearly. If you buy anything from a third party, that transaction is between you and them.
6. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, please do not:
- interfere with its security, operation or availability, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it;
- submit unlawful, abusive, deceptive or spam content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your connection with us;
- use the Site in a way that violates applicable law.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any recipe will suit your needs, taste, equipment or dietary requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tod Recipes and those who contribute to the Site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. This includes any illness, allergic reaction, injury or property damage connected with preparing or eating food from our recipes.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when the Site's features or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms, so please check this page periodically.
9. Contact
