Ingredients:
- 2 lb sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into uniform 1-inch (2.5cm) cubes to ensure consistent cooking.
- Fill a pot with 2 cups of water, ensuring the water level sits just below the bottom of the steamer basket. Bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Carefully place the sweet potato cubes into the steamer basket, cover with a tight lid, and steam for 12–15 minutes until tender but offering slight resistance.
- Remove the basket from the pot, transfer the hot cubes to a bowl, and toss with butter, salt, and pepper until glazed.
