Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp Tajín or ancho chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp organic coconut sugar
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 3 large fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 3 thin rounds of fresh jalapeño
  • 0.5 oz agave nectar
  • 2 oz premium blanco tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz orange liqueur

Instructions:

  1. Combine the sea salt, chili powder, and coconut sugar on a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into the salt mixture at a 45-degree angle. Fill the glass with fresh ice.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the sliced strawberries, jalapeño rounds, and agave nectar. Muddle firmly until the strawberries are completely pulped and jalapeño oils are released.
  3. Add the tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur to the shaker. Fill the shaker 3/4 full with ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosted. Double strain through a fine-mesh strainer into the prepared glass.
