Ingredients:
- 1.4 lbs salmon fillets
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl or saucepan and stir in the minced garlic, lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice.
- Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
- Season the fillets with salt and black pepper.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture generously over each fillet, folding the foil edges up slightly to create a boat.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) until the salmon transitions from translucent pink to an opaque, pale pink, or until an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) is reached for medium.
- Remove from oven and let rest briefly; residual heat will carry the internal temperature to 145°F (63°C). Garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley before serving.
