Ingredients:

  • 1.4 lbs salmon fillets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl or saucepan and stir in the minced garlic, lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. Season the fillets with salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture generously over each fillet, folding the foil edges up slightly to create a boat.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) until the salmon transitions from translucent pink to an opaque, pale pink, or until an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) is reached for medium.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest briefly; residual heat will carry the internal temperature to 145°F (63°C). Garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley before serving.
