Ingredients:
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into uniform 1-inch chunks. Pat them dry to ensure steam penetrates the surface evenly.
- Fill a pot with 1 cup of water, ensuring the level is below the bottom of the steamer basket. Bring the water to a boil.
- Place the sweet potato chunks into the steamer basket, cover with a tight lid, and steam for 15–20 minutes until a fork slides into the center with zero resistance.
- Remove potatoes from the steamer and immediately toss them in a bowl with melted butter, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
