Ingredients:
- 6 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
- 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp (30ml) fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (2g) smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease your baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet completely dry to ensure the sauce adheres.
- Place the fillets in a single layer in the baking dish, keeping them separate for best results.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
- Drizzle the mixture evenly over each fillet, using a brush or spoon to cover the tops and sides.
- Place one or two lemon slices on top of each fillet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes to allow residual heat to finish cooking.
