Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets, patted dry
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (2g) smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp (0.5g) dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, and dried parsley.
  4. Use a pastry brush to generously coat the top of each fillet with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Arrange the fillets on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching to allow hot air to circulate.
  6. Bake in the center rack of the oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are mahogany-colored and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
