Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets, patted dry
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (2g) smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp (1g) onion powder
- 1/4 tsp (0.5g) dried parsley
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, and dried parsley.
- Use a pastry brush to generously coat the top of each fillet with the garlic butter mixture.
- Arrange the fillets on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching to allow hot air to circulate.
- Bake in the center rack of the oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are mahogany-colored and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
